Do Young, afraid that her parents would no longer love her anymore abandoned her 5 year old little sister, Ji Young, at a train station. What happens when Do Young's terrible misdeed is revealed and that Sa Wol is actually the sister she abandoned at the train station all those years ago? The only flaw of this drama: the ending is terrible!! vague!!! The one thing i cannot stand is a vague ending! i need a concrete ending.

SOULMATE

Title: 소울메이트 / Soulmate
Genre: Comedy, Romance
Episodes: 22
PERSONAL RATING: 8/10
Absolutely in my top 10 kdrama list

Summary:
Somewhere in the city is your other half, your soulmate. The question is, will you be able to find and recognize him/her?

Six young people who live in the city are voluntarily and involuntarily careening towards one another in the search for one’s soulmate. Dong-wook (Choi Dong-wook) is the impossible playboy who considers seducing women easier than drinking wine. Su-kyeong (Lee Su-kyeong) is the sunflower-type in that she has loved and looked at only one man for the past five years. Phillip (Choi Phillip) has received Soo-kyung’s love for the past five years and is satisfied until it occurs to him that perhaps another woman is his real soulmate. Min-ae is an innate seductress who thinks lightly of love. Ryohei is the cool guy who’s dating Min-ae but is fine with her flirty ways. And Yu-jin is the naïve girl who believes in true love. Now these six must untangle the web of relationships and find out who is their true soulmate

The story/drama features 3 couples (with an additional, funny one), and at first, it seems like each couple has an interesting beginning and great start, having some of the characters already being friends with other main characters. As the story progresses however, they start to have problems in their relationships and the situation becomes worse when it involves the couples having arguments close enough to break them apart and partnering up with another person whom is already in a relationship. The scenes are usually switching from one couple to the next and back again like a cycle and yet, it does it so well to make everything fall into place so viewers can understand what's happening.

The music is, I think, the best feature of this drama. Especially a certain track from Lasse Lindh, a Swedish indie pop musician, that plays countless of times during the drama, and at the right moment, can actually leave you a little teary-eyed. I can't explain any further how good the soundtrack is, you'll just have to watch to know what I mean.
This drama had me addicted from episode 1.

Synopsis

This will be focusing on the love and trials of the 20 year old generation. Go Eun Sung's life is similar to Cinderella's. After her father died, her step-mother, Baek Sung Hee, took away all of her assets and her younger brother, Eun Woo, suddenly disappears without a trace. Eun Sung preservers and works really hard to become a chef at a food company. The grandson of the food company, Sun Woo Hwan, notices Eun Sung and falls in love with her.

Reading the synopsis of Shining Inheritance I have to say I was not very "wowed" by it. It sounded like any other drama as it failed to mention all the key points to make it sound like it is something worth watching immediately. I postponed this drama until the fourteenth episode aired and then I watched the first episode. From the first episode, there were so much drama that made it completely addictive and impossible to look away from the screen. Watching how Eun Sung came to meet the arrogant Hwan (who is also the Oppa to her stepsister, Seung Mi) and then find out her father died, on his birthday! She was plunged into a world of suffering all at the hands of her evil stepmother (Sung Hee) who immediately kicked Eun Sung and her brother (Eun Woo) out of the house, blaming her father for dragging the family into 'poverty'. Yet I have to admire Eun Sung's courage as she stayed strong for her brother, who was an autistic child. She enthusiastically did jobs to support herself and brother. However when Eun Woo went missing her world crash down once again. After that this made her more determined to work hard and find her brother in the process. Her friends Hye Ri and Jung Se also helped her with this. Jung Se, a nice handsome man who also happens to be rich, helps Eun Sung find a house along with always supporting her when she needed it most. It was at work when she accidentally stumbles on Jang Sook Ja (grandmother as many know her by) who fell down the stairs and suffered memory loss. Eun Sung took the grandmother (not to mention a stranger) in her house and looked after her along with juggling her work and finding Eun Woo. Following the typical kdrama plot, it so happens that the grandmother she took in was a successful business woman, the CEO of a food company who is also the grandmother to Hwan. After the grandmother regained her memory, she took Eun Sung under her wing and provided her a place in her house as well as a job at the company. The grandmother also extends her gratitude by giving Eun Sung her entire inheritance and the food company, much to the horror of her family. This leads to many arguments, especially from Hwan who was shocked as he thought he would get the inheritance. As the story progresses, things just keep getting better (or worse) for every character. Watching how Sung Hee (the evil stepmother) and Seung Mi-the actress with the BITCHIEST face I ever seen. (step sister) try to sabotage Eun Sung made me hate them. Lies after lies increased my hatred for them as they literally made Eun Sung's life hell.

Characters /Acting

Han Hyo Joo as Go Eun Sung - A truly courageous determined character. She stayed strong through everything that was thrown at her which makes her an inspirational character. Many would have crumbled under the pressure yet she did not. She still found reasons to smile even at the hardest times. This is probably why she has got two guys after her. Han Hyo Joo's acting was magnificent. She fitted the role perfectly as we can really empathies with the character and understand her. I could not have picked a better actress to have played her.

Lee Seung Ki as Sun Woo Hwan - Watching how each character progress through the story has been very intriguing, especially Hwan who went from arrogant, selfish and rude man with a temper to a warm and caring person although still with a temper. There are many cute adorable moments with Hwan who is in actual fact hilarious, especially dealing with his love for Eun Sung and his jealousy of Jung Se.

This drama got an even HIGHER rating than the all-time popular BBF!!!!!!! I cannot believe I did not watch this from the moment the first episode was released. This drama has been one of the best dramas out there and is a definite must watch.

I really like her after this drama: Synopsis:

This drama is about the behind the scene in TV drama productions. It also portrays how the whole production team and performers complete a project in a tight schedule as well as how actors, actresses, and entertainment agencies handle rumors surrounding them. Jang Ki Joon (Lee Bum Soo) used to be a top manager in the business but he went bankrupt as he couldn't compete with other powerful agencies. He was 'rescued' by Oh seung Ah ( Kim Ha Neul) a top star who agreed to join his agnecy after breaking off with her former one. Lee Kyung Min (Park Yong Ha) was a drama PD who got his first chance at being a director. Seo Young Eun (Song Yoon Ah) is a much sought after script writer who was divorced and has a young son.

Top actress Oh Seung-ah(Kim Ha-neul) refuses to accept the Best Actress award at an awards ceremony after finding out that she is to share the prize with another actress. In the process, she makes a fool out of Seo Young-eun(Song Yun-a) who was there to hand out the award. Seo Young-eun is an extremely popular writer who has written corny dramas that have gained top ratings. But now she feels a need to change. She wants to write a drama series with depth. So she chooses to write about a drama that centers around a mental hospital. To get ideas for her script, she visits a mental institution only to run into Lee Gyeong-min(Park Yong-ha). Gyeong-min is conscious about the strange woman who keeps looking at him. He may look like someone from a well-to-do family but only the opposite is true. His family is very poor, and he’s the only breadwinner in his family. He had come to the hospital to borrow some money from his friend.During a meeting with the production team, Young-eun’s proposal for a drama based on a mental hospital setting is dismissed. Young-eun is about to go crazy because of the head of the drama department keeps insisting that she write a romance piece about a girl in love with a rich man, only to catch a chronic illness. Moreover, the writer is seethed with anger after finding out that the main lead will be played by Oh Seung-ah. Seung-ah feels that she’s unable to grow as a serious actress because the CEO of her management company is corrupt and too greedy. The one thing she’s been thinking about is to sign a contract with a different company once her current contract comes to an end. So she seeks out Jang Gi-jun(Lee Beom-su) who remembers Seung-ah. It was Gi-jun who had helped Seung-ah avoid a fraudulent scheme seven years ago when she was in her senior year in high school. Gi-jun company is on the verge of going under when Seung-ah decides to join his team. Seung-ah is intent on becoming a serious actress. Young-eun meets up with Seung-ah with a new proposal for a script. Young-eun criticizes Seung-ah for being a terrible actress. On the other hand, Young-eun is also criticized for having axed the director. Young-eun bumps into the young director, Gyeong-min, for the first time after seeing each other at the mental hospital, creating an awkward moment. They agree to work on a drama series together. And Seung-ah is to join them!

§ Previously known as: 레이디 캐슬 / Lady Castle

§ Genre: Romance, comedy

§ Episodes: 16

PERSONAL RATING: 8/10

THIS IS A YOON EUN HYE DRAMA. ENOUGH SAID. JUST WATCH IT.

After a mere 1 episode, and I am hooked!

It’s still an ongoing drama. Korea had aired 8 episodes now.

All 8 episodes are awesome.

Ps, Yoon Eun Hye got legs to die for.

Kang Hye-na owns the 'Lady Castle' and lives a 'princess-like' life with her servants. Losing her parents in a plane crash at a young age, she had a lonely upbringing, living under the care of her stringent grandfather. So, she neither knows nor feels the emotional warmth from others. For this reason, she is overtly indifferent and oblivious to others' feelings and situations and totally self-centered. Whenever she opens her mouth, she spills out blunt remarks to no matter who the person is. She has skills leveling any national representative when it comes to horse riding, fencing, and clay shooting. The only reason she holds these skills is to either humiliate men unworthy of her, or to add awkwardness to conversations.

A former gigolo, Seo Dong-chan gave up entering university and his first love and took the road of the gigolo in order to make money for operations of his mother with acute leukemia. Dong-chan became the best of the best in the gigolo’s world with good looking, eloquent speech, excellent art of living, and great skills of adapting to circumstances. But he dropped the career as soon as his mother passed away. For now, all he got is only five thousand debt resulted from charges for his mother's operations.

One day, Hye Na comes across Seo Dong-chan who is turned out to make her life upside down. He makes Hye-na to do community service, kidnaps her, and now appears in front of her as the new household manager! Hye-na makes every effort to throw him out from the castle, but this guy has tenacity in him! She doesn’t have a good feeling about this man, Seo Dong-chan. She feels uneasy over the fact that she may have finally met her match.
